Proven Leaders in the Medical Innovation Space Discuss Strategies for Startups to Win the U.S. Market at a MEDX Xelerator and BeWell.il Event
Co-organized by MEDX Xelerator and BeWell.il, “Innovation for the Long Run” drew over 100 attendants from Israel and the United States. The event addressed strategies and challenges in forming partnerships between healthcare startups and Corporate America.
The event started with a keynote lecture by David Knapp, Boston Scientific Vice President, Corporate Research, who explored ways for healthcare startups to attract strategic partners. Later, Harel Gadot, MEDX Company Group Chairman, discussed how startups can bring real value – not just valuation – to corporates. Gadot then moderated a panel featuring – in addition to David Knapp – Dr. Elan Ziv, Founder, CEO and MD at ConTIPI Ltd. and ConTIPI Medical, Dorit Sokolov, from Innovation and Business Development at Amgen, and Elad Walach, co-founder and CEO of Aidoc. The panelists – a mix of both seasoned entrepreneurs and Corporate America leaders – discussed strengths and weaknesses of different go-to-market strategies and business models from their personal perspectives as entrepreneurs, investors, and strategic partners.
